I believe it starts in the earliest education and homes of the Middle Eastern children who are taught hate and intolerance whether it be for other religions or other Arab ethnic groups. Like the commercial (public service announcement) says "Hate is taught." It's not genetic.

In a word; Israel.
The Middle East was under British jurisdiction and was part of the Empire. During WW2 the UK promised to give the Arabic people selfgovernment if they would join in the war on the side of the Allies. They did, destroying supply lines between Turkey and Rommels Army in N Africa (See the films 'Ice cold iin Alex' & 'Lawrence of Arabia'). Meanwhile the US did not enter the war, instead it charged the Europeans exorbitant prices for armourment (called 'Lend/lease'), and milked the war for every cent they could get. Many of the powerbroking business men behind this policy were Jewish, and continued this process despite being aware of the atrocities Hitler was carrying out against European Jews. After America was attacked at Pearl Harbour, the US had to join the war, and afterwards the Jews used their financial power to demand land in the middle east as compensation supposedly for those Jews who died in the concentration camps, but actually to prevent them calling in the loans. The UK had to agree, or be destroyed for having engaged in a just war. This meant we did not keep our agreement with The Arab peoples and sold them down the river.
As such, the Arabic people see Israel as an occupying force.
Since then Israel has consistently flaunted international law, facing no retribution or action by the UN because the US habitually vetoes any such action on the Security Council (more than 20 vetoes in the last 10 years). As such Israel behaves above the law, and escapes punishmnet. How would you feel if your neighbour could shoot your father, and rape your mother, and when you called the police they did nothing because the authorities decide your neighbour is better than you. Yet if you then threw a stone at your neighbour, you were arrested and imprisoned in line with the same laws that they had ignored?
Until the US stops shielding Israel, and Israel behaves within the same laws that rule Britain, France, Lebanon & Iraq, there will be no chance of peace.
PS 6 million Jews died in the Holocaust, SIX AND A HALF MILLION Slavs, yet the Slavs didn't get a homeland till a few years ago, when Czechoslavakia split in 2

It is constant turmoil for the following reasons:
Economically: The Middle East is situated at the crossroads between three continents. Goods travel to through this point for hundreds of years. It is also full of oil, which means big money for the ones that hold control.
Religiously: Jerusealm is considered a holy city by three of the five major world religions: Christianity, Judiaism, and Islam. Each party has tried to control it in the past; now the fight centers between Judiaism and Islam. Each feels that they have the right to own that city.
Politically: Palistine is still upset by the decision of the UN back in 1948 to create the state of Isreal. So long as the Palistinians feel that Isreal is on 'their' land and Isreal feels they have the divine right to the "Promise Land," they will continue to fight.
Hopefully, this is helpful to you.

its way too complicated to cover properly here but here it goes...The Ottoman empire was dissolved, creating countries that do not reflect the populations under them..Money, Many Middle eastern countries have lots of oil and money that is kept from the people by corrupt governments. Israel was created after WWII, even though there has never been a "Palestinian state" this situation has not been resolved. Israel also has a superior military in the area (see 6-day war etc..) that is supported by the US, Poverty...Its rampant in the area and breeds nothing but contempt and violence....Islam...the population is trying to deal with a religion that has, along with the people of the region, suddenly found itself in the modern age and has not gradually absorbed it...technology...the middle east used to have the most advanced civilizations...but stopped advancing...anyway all these reasons engender resentment...and now they want to take it out on the west...

The middle east is where two religions are in constant conflict. Both Muslims and Jews live there. The conflict over who rightfully owns the Gaza Strip is one problem. Many in Iraq also don't appreciate the United States over there.

I have been there many times and they are all brainwashed to hate the INFIDELS at a vey young age and treat their women like **** too. I have seen them stone a woman because her veil slipped off and revealed her nose in the street. RELIOGION police they call them and they stand there and point o the person and command her to be stoned and the &**(((*&^^ idiots obey them too. I think MAYBE once the lot of them see the real world and the old generations of MINI HITLERS of Arab descent are all dead and the west is in there---there may be a change somewhere many generations down the road...look at the IRA in IRELAND, they also brainwashed the kids to hate each other and now the kids grown and see that they are marrying the so called Proddy and Feinian %^&*&*( that they were told by Grandfather to hate...Time is forever, people are not , so time will prevail and changes come with time.

Many Arabs feel that is wasn't right for displaced Jews to reclaim the small piece of land (Israel) after WW2. That small piece of land happens to be a something that many peoples have fought for in the last 2000 years.
Also: Oil! A commodity in high demand around the world which affects economies in every modern nation. If it wasn't for oil, those nations would not be where they are today........if it wasn't for the Suez Canal ... US and European influences would not have evolved during WW! & WW2.

There is a huge concentration of oil in the middle east.
Everybody wants it.
If there was no oil, there might still be problems here, they just wouldn't be the number one news item. There are a lot of other troubled parts of the world you hear very little about.

Because nobody in the rest of the world will leave it alone. The locals appear to be able to stir up enough on their own, without all that extra help. Of course it starts with religion and ends with oil.
