Without doubt Zidane is the best. He singlehandedly won France their only World Cup triumph in 1998, scoring two goals in the final. His performances also helped contribute to win the Euro 2000 tournament too. This years performances also were the only reason an average French team got to the World Cup final. If you look at the World Cup in 2002, when Zidane was injured and barely played, France were awful and came home without scoring in the tournament.
Whereas Ronaldinho, who is a fantastic player, gets swamped in his national team as there are too many good players. He never really turns in good performances when it matters - and although he won the World Cup in 2002, he didn't have a great tournament. He can only thank David Seaman and a distinctly average China team for his goals in that tournament.
So on the balance of it, Zidane has churned out performance after performance on the biggest footballing stage when it has mattered. True greatness is always measured in what you've done which means Zidane is way ahead of Little Ronaldo at the current time.

Ronaldinho - although he is currently underachieving to some extent at Barca and also in the World Cup just gone, that is really only based to the relative talent that he has.
If you enjoy the beautiful game then there isn't a trick that Ronnie can't do....and at times he is poetry on the football field. He controls the ball as though it is on the end of a piece of string and is a genius as far as I am concerned.
If only England have, or indeed ever had, a player with a fraction of the natural flair and ability that Ronnie has.

Who is the best ? OF COURSE RONALDINHO!!!!! Zidane...he is a ViciousBull. He only headbutts others. People get terrorized when they see the BULL running on the field whereas Ron Brings Smile on everyone's face even on the face of his opponents. Ron's mesmerizing skills have never been seen before nor will they ever be seen. He loves soccer and he lives for soccer. His skill, his footwork, his sportsmanship are way beyond's anyone's reach. Zidane can alwasy learn from Ron but can never be Ron. Ronadinho Gaucho has beautified the socccer whereas Zidane has degraded the game.

i would have to go with Zidane. He's a brilliant player who can win games single handedly. He shines for his club as well as for his country.
As for Ronaldhino, he's skillfull but he hasn't proven to me yet (u gotta agree) that he can win games when people depend on him the most. He disappointed Brazil but stands out for Barcelona. he still has got tons of room for improvement.
