Im not sure what ur saying. Im from Louisiana..been here most of my life. Ive said y'all as long as I can remember. But you do realize, this doesnt just happen in the south? People in all places, have words and slang that arent commonly found in everyone's vocabulary.
You Know You're From Louisiana When...
1. You can properly pronounce Lafayette, Bossier, Natchitoches,
Opelousas, Shongaloo, Pontchartrain, Ouachita, and you know that New Orleans doesn't have a long "e" sound anywhere in it
2. You think people who complain about the heat in their states are sissies.
3. A tornado warning siren is your signal to go out in the yard and look for a funnel.
4. You know that the true value of a parking space is not determined by the distance to the door, but by the availability of shade.
5. Stores don't have bags, they have sacks.
6. You've seen people wear bib overalls at funerals.
7. You think everyone from a bigger city has an accent.
8. You measure distance in minutes.
9. Little Smokies are something you serve only for special occasions.
10. You go to the lake because you think it is like going to the ocean.
11. You listen to the weather forecast before picking out an outfit.
12. You know cowpies are not made of beef.
13. Someone you know has used a football schedule to plan their wedding date.
14. You have known someone who has a belt buckle bigger than your fist.
15. You aren't surprised to find movie rental, ammunition, and
bait all in the same store.
16. A Mercedes Benz isn't a status symbol. A Chevy Silverado Extended Bed Crew Cab Truck is.
17. You know everything goes better with 'Ranch'.
18. You learned how to shoot a gun before you learned how to multiply.
19. You actually get these jokes and are "fixin" to send them to your friends.
20. You're not offended by the term "coonass." If anything, it's a compliment.
Finally, you are 100% Louisianian if you have ever had this
conversation:
"You wanna coke?"
"Yeah."
"What kind?"
"Dr Pepper."

When we look at the various culures that make up this land,we can see variations of words.Y'all is just saying you all.No hidden meaning,no diverse overtone, just a contracture.Yes I am from the south,I have been in other parts of the country.I talk slow but the way other people talk around the country is fun for me to listen too.It is just people assume that the south is backwards in their lifes so any way to put them down is what people are after.
So y'all have a good day.

I think about a lot of things, mostly why are those damn Yankee's moving down here so fast after they retire? They are rude,no manners, can't cook, don't know how to drive without a horn, talk so fast, they don't take time to listen, and they think just because they had a baby here it makes them southern, well you can put a kitten in the oven & you still don't get biscuits!
Bless his heart, he can't help it he is ignorant, doesn't mean he should be online, in public. Bless his heart.
Ya'll don't come back, ya here.

all of us stay interior america of united statesa. and we, as a rustic, must have one flag. The South lost the warfare, did they no longer? i'm no longer attempting to sound ignorant, yet I continually felt that the accomplice flag stood for slavery and segregation. what number black southerners fly the accomplice flag? I were to the south and that's totally diverse from Ohio. eye-catching us of a, yet i change into satisfied to come back domicile.

I'm from above the Mason-Dixon line, and sometimes I feel that the South is a completely different country. I just don't get the whole Friday-Night-Lights, NASCAR, Krispy Kreme culture.

My first thought is, "Are YOU,perhaps, trying to imply that WE are ignorant?" Second, "y'all," is not a proper word, but it is a completely proper contraction. God bless your heart.

You evidently are not very bright yourself. Your spelling is atrocious, your wording is horrible and you want to make fun of people from the south using the word "Y'ALL???????? BTW, Kentucky here.

Do Southerners think as slowly as they talk? Why is the only contraction they use an abomination of English? I do love Southern women though, they talk so slow that by the time they say no, I'm already done.
