Yes, they can. I'm talking in the Indian context. In a landmark verdict, the Allahabad High Court (if I'm not wrong) has given its verdict in favour of such an arrangement. Hence living together now has legal sanction.

of course i have couple of friend that they have been living together for a long time and they are not marry and lived happily I was young and got pregnant and i got married my husband and i decided that was the right thing to do.

Can you tolerate when your mom is dong this?
She also be any close relative such as mother or wife.
