I downloaded Schedule 2 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, which lists the birds (in the UK) that may be killed or taken at anytime.
It includes house sparrows and starlings, which I thought were now protected. Can anyone tell me where I can be sure of obtaining an up to date document.

Please only answer if you know, I don't want to have to wade through a load of irrelevant answers about "being cruel", or answers in relation to countries outside the UK, and double please no god bothering answers either.
cheers peeps

I have tried to find out this info too.

I think I eventually found it by searching the net for vermin.

Your local council should have this info too.

I believe it something on the lines of Pigeons, magpies, mice, rats.....sorry, all I remember. Basically, anything considered vermin that is SMALL. i.e. you cannot shoot a fox or mole.
