The definitive answer will be from the airline - i.e. what THEY are prepared to accept as evidence that you are who you say you are.
But for your information, friends flew last month (since the recent terror plot scare etc) Heathrow to Glasgow with BMI airline using full UK driving license as ID (new photocard style), and it was accepted without question.
I have personally flown British Airways London-Scotland with full driving licence as well.

I fly Scotland to Wales all the time and i don't have a passport,though that's with BMI,You will need a photo id,i use my driving license.

no, you dont need a passport you are not travelling across any international borders (scotland and England both part of UK) but you will need photo ID issued by the government ie a driving licence.

Unfortunately, yes.
If you don't have a passport, just take the train, it's almost just as fast, and with check in and baggage time at the airport, you don't safe much time in the end.

passport no. Photo ID yes. Just don't arrive late for an easy jet flight or they won't let you on. believe me, it happened to us this summer on that same exact route. have fun.

Yes, you do. Even if you do online check-in and only have cabin baggage they'll still ask to see it and your boarding pass at security.
