We definitely call them rollercoasters.

We don't call them "roller coaches", (unless this is some regional phrase specific to another part of the UK). A "big dipper" is a specific type of rollercoaster, and I'm pretty sure it's an American phrase anyway.

Trust me - they're 'roller coasters' over here too.

I believe the english call it a roller coach, and apparently you can "hire a roller coach" for a ride
