No, a healthy male betta fish will always blow bubble nests on the top of the water, even if there is no female to fertilize it. I dont recommend you go out and buy a female, it is very hard to breed bettas

If it is a female then yes, but if it's a male, no. The male betta makes a bubble nest for the female to lay her eggs in, but unless there is a female present, the answer is only obvious..... Get a female and breed!

Bettas and guaramis are bubble nest builders. He will do that for many months of the year. They are sometimes referred to as labyrinth fish because of a mechanism in their body that enable them to gulp air to breathe or to produce a slime covered bubble.

No it isn't, it happens to all aquariums with bettas in them, I'm not sure why it happens but it does. It is just air bubbles really.

Those bubbles are a nest - it's where the eggs are placed - It means the male is ready to spawn.
Since you only have one fish - he's making them because he's.. happy :)

your Betta is a male and is making a bubble nest for the female to lay eggs in ,,you will have to get a female so he can mate and have little Betta's
