I am a one-person company and am currently using a dBase / Clipper program written many years ago and modified by someone who didn't make the changes exactly right. Really want to get away from a DOS based system because Microsoft will not support a DOS program very much longer.

This program calculates gas and electric utilities, produces bills and management reports. Altogether there are only four forms - the bills, a monthly recap, a moving 12 month report, and a meter reading log. All have to be printed on an Epson MX80/LQ570 dot matrix printer. The bills have to hit boxes preprinted on the continuous feed forms and are bottom fed to the printer.

I have programmed in DBase, Clipper, and Foxbase for a living.

I wish I were closer to where you live so I could see the application and the code.

What you describe does not sound to tough to me. Sorry I can't help you more.

Don't give up, sooner or later someone here will be able to help you.

Good luck.

Have fun but be safe!

This sounds pretty simple.
If you care to, add this name to yahoo messenger.

We can talk about what else you may need, the approx cost and when it can be completed. Perhaps i can simplify other tasks you do also.
I program more as a hobby than anything else but ive been doing it for 8 years.
***edit***
I can do this so that you do not need to purchase other software, unless there are things that you left out ;)

I am a Software Developer. If u want to get it done in Oracle / Developer or in Oracle/Java or in MySql/Java u may mail me (Just click on my name to mail me). All those platforms will suit ur requirements and allow u to get rid of DOS. U may also use some other RDBMS. Just one point, I don't like to use Microsofts SQL Server.
