Ok Let me clarify. I am a B 747 Pilot with over 5000 hours of flight time and know what a Jet is. It is any ware from 30000 to 40000 ft. A jet occurs when there is a break in the Tropopause leading to a difference in temp, which in turn creates this fast flow of Air (a Jet Stream). Inside this jet since there is great sheer Clear air turbulence (CAT) is created. My Question is... Inside a Jet where is the greatest possibility of Sever CAT. i.e. the polar side or the coldest side or???? Hope this helps in trying to find an answer to the question.
