Make a phone call to your local unemployment office. Also, you can contact any disability groups in your area.
Many, many of the online opportunities are not as they seem. Start local, and use those 'networked' resources to get something.

You usually know it is not legit when they want you to pay them any money at all.
I have a legit home biz you can start.
No scams, nothing to buy or sell. No money to start and I won't try to sell you anything or ask for money. It would take time and effort before you started making money though, but eventually it could snowball and start rolling in big.
It is not illegal, immoral or unethical, and no emailing people or doing surveys. I will be honest on all parts of this. Maybe some hype to help you get motivated okay.
I am not certain how your arthritis will affect it, but it will be your business, you will only make money if you put a lot of effort into it.
Contact me if you are interested. I do not feel it is within community guidelines to post it here.

Check out http://www.nticentral.org/ National Telecommuting association for disabled people.
Work at home jobs are hard to find. Technical, phone work or writing jobs are the most common legit ones. You may want to check out some job leads at http://wahjobs.blogspot.com Plus there is a listing of companies that regularly hire telecommuters

I think a lot of money can be made on the Internet.
For example, I joined on CashCrate and filled out some free offers and its going very well. And there are no fees to join. It is totally free.
http://www.*************/index.php?ref=1...
This may not sound like much, but for every person you refer, you get 20% of what they earn. And for every person that one of your referrals refer to CashCrate, you get 10%. It may take some time to build up the number of referrals necessary to make a lot of money, but in time--this could be a great source of income--making money while other people are in a sense, working for you.

This website is a branch of West telecommunications. It involves answering the telephone for various companies. For example, if your assigned time is for Kohl's online ordering, you would be the Kohl's representative taking the order, with the order website on your computer you would enter the order, thank the individual, etc. You are paid for the time you are on the phone taking whatever orders are involved. Check it out...
