My brother and his girlfriend (who I think is a sweetie) are expecting a baby in January. Me and my sister are throwing both of them a baby shower later in November, and I would like some ideas for a nice gift for them and baby. They just got their own place and they're all excited. They are having a boy. My brother will be at the shower, and they have a dragon theme for the nursery, but I cant find any dragon gifts online or in stores. Any ideas?

A young tree to plant in the baby's honor at your brother's and girlfriend's new home. Japanese maple or jade tree for honor.

Anything you make or commision yourself would be nice, and something they could keep for a long time like a painting or wooden sculpture. If you are not particularly artistic, go to your nearest art college and put up a flyer that you want to commision a work. Some students are very talented and may even make something for you for free if you provide the materials. I graduated with a degree in art and one of my good friends is an extremely talented muralist. They are sometimes hard to find, but contracting someone to paint a mural in the baby's room might also be nice for them. :) (p.s. I really like the dragon theme)

If you go onto ebay and type in Baby Dragon I saw some really cute items. Also you could give them a gift certificate to have some one paint a morale onthe babies wall of a big dragon of castle type theme. If I read it correctly they own the home so that shouldn't be a problem. If she is anything like me and a picture freak how about some picture frames or albums with a portiate membership to like Sears, Penney's, Picture People with a gift certifcate to go along with it. Hope these ideas help.

I am due to have a baby any day now. The most unique gift I got at my shower, was from my younger sisiter. She gave me a cupon book that she printed off of the computer. It entitled me to a shower without baby, a night out, a grocery store run without the baby, A full nights sleep. She is 17 so I know I can trust her, but it was great to know she was willing to watch the baby, and they are cupons for free things.

Name a star after the baby, I think its such a beautiful thing to do and its actually legitimate, you get a certificate of authenticity and a sky chart containing the constelation and location of your star. One dragon gift i saw was a dragon belly bank that you can personalize... never too eary to start saving!:)
Another was a personalized room plaque that allows you to choose from over 70 designs.
If you're the creative type, Buy her a baby lamp and personalize the shade with castles and dragons..

Have your brother and his girlfriend go register like at baby's r us or some store like that and get a few things they picked off their registry and you can make a basket out of a few things they picked out depending on how much you want to spend. you could use the colors that they have picked out for the nursery to pick the basket and so on.

Go to one of those personalized places in the mall, and get a baby blanket with her name on it....or a diaper bag...bracelet, photo album....and get something for the mommy too, maybe 2 bracelets that match eachother or necklaces...get a footprint maker , so that they could get her first footprints in ...the cheapes is at walmart for like 7 dollars.

How about if you get them a nice wooden rocking chair, and paint dragons on it yourselves.. it would be a nice gift with a personal touch, that they can use for a long time..
