More air is trapped in the pores of a wollen clothe when compared to the air trapped in other clothes. Air is a bad conductor of heat. It prevents the loss of heat from our body. Thus we feel warmer wearing wollen clothes.

Wool is a good insulator and a bad condutor of temperature . Any woolen garment prevents the cold out side temperature from reaching the body of the wearer and also prevents the body temperature from dissipating out side by conduction.. It therefore traps the warmth inside the area coverd by it So the body fels warm with its normal temperature .

We use woolen clothes as they have pores between them. These pores trap heat between them. As air is a bad conductor of heat, it prevents the loss of heat from our body and also does not let us feel the cold outside. This keeps us warm which is actually the reason why we wear woolen clothes. Don't we??

in woollen clothes, when heat enters them due their close packing it is trapped and we feel it whereas if we wear cotton or any other attire in winters it won,t trap the heat.

Because of its fire resistence, and totally not the fact that wool is a nice, warm, ichy fiber that makes people look like total tools.
