on the key board..there is letters..there are little numbes above the letters when itype for exp a j...the number on appears... wot causes this

If you are using a laptop you've probably got numlock pressed.

Find the numlock key and press it - this should fix the problem.
(on most laptops you'll have to press the Fn key and the numlock button will be one of the smaller keys on the top left of the keyboard)

Check if shift key got stuck or you changed the keyb layout. Try with other keyb , if it works it means there is something wrong with keyb itself.

i think you are using laptop was it right...?
if it is the case then put off the numlock key in it
you are done..
