Get some Sorbitol. Its the sweetener thats in diabetic candy. You can get it directly from the pharmacist without a prescription. Take 2 tablespoons with a full glass of water. Depending on the amount of blockage you have, anywhere from 15 minutes to 8 hours later the toilet will be your best friend.
I get constipated a lot and this is what my doctor has me use. No cramping, doesnt taste bad, not expensive and REALLY does the job well. We call it Turbo Lax because of the cleaning I get from it. I promise, if this doesnt work, you need surgery. This stuff would unlock the Hoover Dam.

Hi,
Dont feel bad about it. Feel good mentally, because that is where cure starts. Dulco-lax is just a laxative and is helpful in the initial stages of use. If that doesnt help, try taking lots of fibrous foods, esp. maize(corn) helps a lot for curing constipation. This is my personal experience. Also drink a lot of water, because if u take only fibrous solids without water, then it can worsen the situation. So take as much water / fresh fruit juices / tender coconuts as possible. Also dont strain yourself much, because that could lead to worser conditions like piles and fissures. Also have lots of guavas. Try sitting in a hot water basin as soon as you discharge wastes. Do take care seriously and try consulting a doc if all the above do not help. Hope you'd get cured soon.

You are probably so far constipated that you now need tea from senapods. Boil a handful in small saucepan and drink the tea, one cup before bedtime.
A tablespoon full of castor oil might do the trick as well.
When you have moved your bowel make sure that you include foods that have the reverse effect. Eat prunes with yogurt as part of your meal. Drink orange juice with no preservatives. Carrots do the trick as do green vegetables.
Stay away from bread, bananas, eggs, tea, rice,
Take a table spoon of Milk of Magnesia every night until you have a regular movement every day.

Give the tablets time to work.
Drink lots of plain water.
Oranges can help, peel and eat the whole segments, do not juice
Avoid pain relief tablets as these can make constipation worse.
Gentle exercise,swimming or walking
Massage the lower stomach in an anti clockwise direction

An enema is the best thing for bowel impactions that doesn't respond to laxative treatment. Once you get over your problem try adding more vegetables and fresh fruit to your diet, along with at least 8, 8 ounce glasses of water each day.
You can buy premixed enemas in any drug store. They are cheap.

Drink loads and loads of water and rub the bottom of your stomach it should get your bowels moving this is for short term help. Long term eat more fruit and fibre. Yes it can be very painful and if it continues to be so get yourself to the doctor PDQ.
Best of luck...Oh and do not push too hard you can damage yourself by doing so and may end up with piles.

You didn't say how long it's been since you pooped, so I'm assuming you don't have an obstruction, try an enema. You can find one at local pharmacy. If that doesn't work, go to emergency, you may have an impaction or an obstruction which could be signs of some severe problems

If you are anything like me you need to take the dulco-lax for a few more days before anything starts to happen, but don't be tempted to take to many in one go. Also ensure you increase the fibre you have in your diet. fibre gel drinks are also good to keep you regular, take these morning and night until you are back to normal and it wont hurt you to continue to take one a day everyday if need be (the fibre gel drinks I mean, not the dulco-lax).

Drink lots of water.
Also, exercise helps move things along. Go for a walk through your neighborhood.
Lastly, lots of fruits & veggies add fiber to your diet.
Maybe some prune juice wouldn't hurt, either.
A cup of coffee in the morning keeps me regular.

If you want to go really soon an enema, bought at pharmacy for about 2 bucks. Or you could try taking a couple of the pills. One may not be enough for you
