What brand and model are you using? normally there is a data cable in the box and you have to connect it to your PC through USB. For motorolla like mine, you gotta install I-tunes and phone softwares from the box and then you use I-tunes to drag the songs you like into your mobile. but you must have at least a few gigs storage card inside your phone though, like mini SD.

well if your phone can carry mp3 songs, it means you should had recived a CD with your phone haing some sofwear to help you to conect your phone with your pc to download the mp3 songs... check your user guid of your phone and see what it says... or go to phone shop and see how they does it, or ask friend help to show you on real how to do it.. also you should told us witch brand is your mobile phone, and witch model as well to have better answers chances...

depending on that what kind of mobile you own.if it has the option USB Infrared or bluetooth then downloaded the song to your computer,make it mp3 (your phone also must support mp3 files),then transffer it to your mobile
