I find Musharaff to be a very good statesman. Taking care of a person like Dubya for so long is a great achievement. He is the President of very pro-active nation. He has many detractors inside and outside Pakistan and he still managed to run the country and I find the Pakistan economy is progressing well. Credit goes to the General.
He must have written his heart out in the book. I have gone through the reviews only. Certainly I would like to read the entire book.
Previously I had gone through "Daughter of the East" by Benazir Bhotto. I liked that book very much.

It is a bundle of lies and people have come to realised that , even before the copies have hit the stands. He is in the line of fire, for spilling the bean, unwittingly to the consternation of his country men and the Americans. I am referring to his confession that the Americans had paid him money for exchange of the so called Talibans. Now, i wonder whether those guys who were handed over to the Americans were the Talibans or some nondescript persons who were willing to give themselves up as the Talibans in return for some hefty sum of money, arranged by Musharraf.

Truth is always bitter. He had openly accepted the shortcomings as well as his achievements. Above all, it is not that India is beyond any criticism and failures. Just don't get emotional.
