Oh thank you. I thought I was the only one in the world. I have his dvd's, waiting. I watched one episode! I thought there was something wrong with me. You've given me the strength to chuck them in the bin.

I used to love him on the Office and I even liked the first few episodes of Extras. But after seeing his specials and appearances on chat shows, I realised that he's not so much an actor as someone who just gets up on a stage and does the same character all the time - himself. I'm a little tired of him now.

No stoning for you. I agree. He is a bit of a one trick pony (which granted, he does admit) and I really don't like this comedy of cringe and embarrass in which he specialises, I find it very hard to watch, not amusing (so I don't watch it). Also, I really don't feel that the Flanimals are particularly good, there are lots of very talented creators of children's books out there who can't get published, but if you have a name, then no problem - I wouldn't mind if it was really good, but I just don't rate it.
OK, rant over. So yes, I agree, can't stand him.

Yeah, he's kind of limited. I enjoyed The Office immensely, but I don't really care for him outside of that role. The problem, I think, is that the unlikable David Brent was a little too much like the real Ricky...

Me! I had a boss like him once. No sense of humour, prejudiced and simply not funny. Too close to the bone, like the stuffed duck Fawlty Towers episode for any one in catering. Didn't like Charlie Chaplin either.

I will not stone you I will stand by your side and be proud. I can not stand the man and what he writes is utter rubbish and the worst he know it! That is why he only ever does two series they would NEVER stand the test of time NEVER!
See i will stand by you.

I think he's great however he pretty much is the same character in everything - Extras, The Office and live in stand up. So if you don't like him in one thing you wont like him in any. Even his kids book is cool.
No stones being thrown by me LOL
