If people wanted an opinion on a particular subject be it Britney Spears new baby or Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, that would be fine, ut dont ask a question that can be easily googled. What do you guys think?

Maybe they're not such "experts" in searching the Internet, so they prefer to ask real people what to do. I don't mind, I like to help people, so I answer any question I know the answer for, regardless whether it could be answered by a machine (like "Google") or not. If someone asks a question, they deserve an answer. And if they came here, they want the answer from real people, not from machines.

I completely think of that many of the questions right here ought to be Googled! a great form of of those questions are real ones! I do like this website for perception on own reports and - in a fashion - utilising it as a communicate board for communicate. i'm thoroughly aggravated with the random questions that in basic terms seem made and that i'm definately disappointed with trolling... just to get an enhance out of folk. Grr.

because they have already googled it and are looking for more then what google could provide. the more sources that one gets, the more objectively the person can look at the information received. i google much of what i ask in here as well as other sources like books and people but the yahoo answers are also a good source.

i don't believe everything that's in here but there are a lot of interesting takes on the questions asked.

Yeah its like we are the google program that provide the answers for them.

People tend to ask even if there are written instructions on the board. We simply want to confirm things that we are unsure of, or not familiar with or experience yet.

ASking can lead to a probable direct answer, well explained (summarize) rather than googling.

That's probably it ^_^

as i constantly experience among my friends and aquaintances, there are those that master the concept of the keyword, and those that dont. i have a friend that keeps asking me for the keywords to google on all kinds of topics. others do it themselves, but dont come up with the rigth ones to get good hits. i think it may have to do with basic knowledge, but mostly with how your brain works...

asking a question on answers! however is easy. and the results come in promptly.

maybe its just lazyness ;)

I am equally baffled. Many questions appearing here could be easily resolved with Google or Wikipedia.

I think they are lazy, and expect others to provide step by step instruction or information without any effort on their part. Or they could simply be lonely!
