Why do people write in this insane "code"? It doesn't look like it would save you any time.

Are you not your own person? Why listen to what they say? Only YOU know what's best for YOURSELF. Also: A.)They may have ulterior motives for opposing the friendship. e.g. jealousy. B.) They may not know this person as well as you do, so therefore can't form a proper opinion on them - How well do they know this person, and if they don't know them well, what kind of picture did you draw? Did you only point out the bad times vs. good? All these things play into it, but most importantly, just do what YOU want to do!

Your friends probably feel that a person with your spelling skills is not safe to let out and mingle with the rest of the folks.
Can't say I blame them either.

If your friend is a bad influence on you then that might be a reason why other people disapprove. However, if that's not the case, then be true to yourself and continue the friendship.

Why do people spell in such gibberish? Maybe they don't like you hanging out with this friend because he/ she has a bad influence on your grammar.

if ur frends oppose ur frendship with sum other person......its either bcoz they r ur real gud frends n dont want u 2 get in2 trouble......or else its bcozthey r possesive and want u 2 b only with them....it depends on ur frends......
but i believe if a group of frends oppose ur frendship with someone else........then ther shud be a good reason.........ask them and find out why?
