I normally send them to the domain name bearer on the scam email but with the email address; abuse@......(domain name) or i inform the folks at fraudwatchers.org which is a web portal for internet fraud prevention.

I have Yahoo Mail, so I don't even worry about what goes into my Bulk Mail folder; that is unless I'm expecting something and it doesn't show up, then I go looking for it in there. Then, it's a nightmare because I get hundreds of emails a day in there. I think, somewhere around 800 or 900 a day.

Anyway, I don't worry about scam or Phishing emails that I receive. I usually just delete them, because I have a lot more important things to do with my time. I guess, if I ever find someplace to forward them to and if it's easy to do, then I will start doing it. But, for right now I only worry about the ones that I get where they are trying to get my eBay and PayPal account information.

One way to make sure you never fall victim to one of those scams is never use the link they send you in the email. Instead, use the website address that you already know for the company (not the one they are showing you). Never believe any information they are telling you, especially when they are claiming they need to update their records or there's a problem with your login or anything like that.

I always say it's better to be skeptical and safe, than a willing victim.

This problem keeps growing and growing. I recently read an article that said of 2,000 emails that get sent out-5 get responded to and peoples information is then used by the scammer. There is no good answer to this question other than you need to research each one. (As one user previously stated-he stopped reporting them because it seemed a waste of time) If you do want to get them reported the best solution is to go the the "REAL" Website for Company you supposably got email from-do NOT use links in the Spammer/Phishers email. On the company webpage they should have something mentioned about Fraudulent Emails or a Contact Us button. Use that to get ahold of the company for directions on reporting fraudulent emails. Sorry so long..

These should be coming in under scam mail or "quarantine", and
should not be opened. Even if "in box" you can print the heading,
without opening. Send by mail to your provider and to the mentioned bank. It will help but not necessarily stop the scam. At least they will
be aware that you are receiving mail sent to "undisclosed recipient" so why you? Let them open open the mail, put an open header and trace the source.

You could try reporting them to your ISP. But, I would simply delete them unopened. Never open, nor reply to any email that you don't expect, or which is obviously strange or spam. There are a lot of emails going around for medical products, viagra, etc, or with "Hi" , etc, in the subject line. All are spam or possibly virus infected - don't open them! Have a look at this free mail washer programme: http://www.mailwasher.net/

I use http://www.spamcop.net/

As these emails come with forged headers, it's pointless reporting them back to where you think they originated. Paste the headers and body text into the form at SpamCop and press Process Spam. This will identify the network administrators where the email actually originated and the network administrators where the spoof site is located. Press report and the network administrators will be emailed details and should hopefully take action.

I have a separate email account i use if i think a site is going to spam message me and I get roughly 10,800-11,500 spam messages a month in that account so be carful what you open in any account with email you don't want to have resent every 2-3 months after spending hours on the phone when your isp auto-terminates the account for the spam problem you will get from responding to it.

Just delete them.
Set up a filter / rule in your email client to automatically delete them.
If you use webmail ( Yahoo, MSN etc. ) turn on the junk filter or set up a filter / rule there as well.

I stopped reporting these several years ago because it's largely a waste of time and effort.

Label them as trash then they will go into the trash folder, or report them as spam, or block them using your email providers settings

You just dont forward those mails anywhere, only thing you have to do is you just select those mails as spam, and if you want to report them as spam, so you do it after selecting it as spam, after making it spam your mail provider will ask you whether if you want to report it as spam, so select it. either in your mail settings always make on the option as if you select any mail as spam then it will directly get reported as spam to mail service , so you won't receive any further spam mails.
