Babies only wake up when they are hungry or need changing. Other than that, they are sleeping.

Because although babies wake up often, they actuallly sleep about 20 out of 24 hours.

Babies have no worries about the real or outside world. I reckon this is where it comes from. Coz clearly they do wake up a lot so hey that would make no sense hehe waa waa

babies are asleep most of the day and wake up only when they are hungry or not well...but they do sleep more than half a day!!!

It probably relates to the innocence of a baby and that they have nothing to worry about apart from essentials such as when they want to have food etc.

I never say that, I say slept like a log which is more appropriate as a log lays still and never moves!

maybe coz babiez just fall asleep all ov a sudden & not take forever to sleep like some ov us do! I think they mean it in the way they "fell" asleep, not the wakin' up after 2hourz thing!

the same reason people sleep like logs its just and expression meaning that babies/logs dont do much else(in the case of logs nothing at all)

because "WHEN" they do sleep - nothing seems to wake them, until they need feeding or changing or cuddled.

you should know this being a grandfather
by the way you should chose your categories more carefully
