We have the materials, and the technology. (most of it, i think). Has anyone ever thought of making a suit like this? Anyone hear of anything like this in development?
If i become rich, i want to make one for fun. of course i probably wouldn't be allowed to put weapons of mass destruction on it. :(

Japan has a robot where you can ride on it but it is still clumsy and unrefined. I saw it at youtube featuring Gackt (j-rock singer and huge gundam fan) riding it. But sad to say, i lost the link. hehehe... you could try searching for it. Hopefully it is still there.

I know that Japan is working on the technology to aid nurses in lifting patients out of bed and with physical therapy.
The United States Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the agency that does that kind of research for the military. So I imagine that stuff is pretty top secret so who knows what kind(s) of prototypes they've developed.
I really like mecha so I think it would be cool to have a hard suit like Bubblegum Crisis 2040. Or to be able to pilot a Mobile Suit or better yet, an Eva!
