Purple is 50% blue and also 50% red. If you make it greener, you get gray.

Go to a photo editing software...
Select a PURPLE colour you cant and see it's RGB / Hue / Saturation / Colourisation / etc settings...
Then compare them with a shade of BLUE you're looking for...
There... now you'll know how Blue Purple is :)

Depends on how much red there is in it. Some purples are more blue and some are more maroon - i.e. more red.

purple is half blue, half red. If you add more blue it is no longer purple but indigo. If you have less red then you have violet.

it depends what shad of purple you wants to get according to that you have to mix red or other colors in blue.
