Firstly have you got an up to date theory book. I learnt the book within 3 wks and a tip for you is to take the book with you whilst out and about and test yourself with road markings and signs then check the book to see if you got it right. When I took the test 3 years ago I got 29 out of 30, where my partner gave up and didn't even try. I can't stand reading text books but it was worth it. Stick at it and you won't regret it I'm sure you'll do great. Good Luck.

The theory test isn't really hard if you do your homework. But you also have to contend with the hazard perception test. That's not really difficult either, but it's a good idea to put a bit of practice in. You can buy CD-ROMs that will give you practice at both, they cost about 10 quid and many people find that they help.

depends how well you know your highway code. if you know it, it's easy. if you don't, it's not. most of the questions are common sense, but there are some where more than one answer could be correct (it's a multiple choice test).

i'd suggest buying the highway code and reading it cover to cover - remembering stopping distances (doesn't matter whether you remember feet or metres) and street signs. they like asking about signs that you don't see very often, such as those for trams. it's a painful read but necessary. get others to test you.

you can practise online at http://www.theory-tests.co.uk/home/ . good luck!

It's not hard at all, i passed first time. It's mainly common sence and being assertive. You'll be fine just keep studying and get friends and family to test you by asking you questions.
Good luck!

When I did it it was quite easy, you can get some questions wrong, so don't waste your time learning stopping distances.
