I really don't mean to be rude, but I don't think some of them have the brains do you? Or much experience of real life, except reality show thingies.

They publish them for similar people. People who work their entire lives in the local chippy and do a bit of karaoke at the weekend and dream of being the next big thing identify with them cos the celebs were once nobodies and managed to make it. The celebs don't actually write the books cos they wouldn't know which end of the pen to use, all they do is a glamorous photo shoot for the cover and then go around visiting Waterstones and autographing them with a thick marker pen!
All the books basically say the same thing, which is: I am an insecure wretch who has had a lucky break, I had a couple of hard knocks in life, but I'm a fighter/winner (delete as appropriate) and I always knew I'd make something of myself. There's usually a rehab chapter which sites negative childhood experiences as the problem. A good quality D-list autobiography will also have some nice pics in the centre pages of the book to look at too.Their fame is probably going to be fairly short lived, but they're surrounded by people who are paid to make them feel tremendously important, hence the belief that they should share their (very shallow) experiences with their adoring fans (many of which probably have borderline personality disorders too)

I can totally see your point and I would never buy her book but on the other hand there are people in the world that are have less of a celebrity status at all and manage to get books into print, I think that the idea sometimes is that the book may make them more famous?

Trash sells because the public are gullible and nosey, if drinking yourself into oblivion, messing with other men and showing yourself up is what makes a published book these days then I for one would never waste my money on them, all the celebs seem to do is booze, fight, sleep with anyone, get married and divorced then write a book about it, they don't write their own books, someone is paid to do that for them, its crass and boring and not worth the paper its wrote on.

Yes, it's funny. Of course they're out for a quick buck but the funniest story I heard was that Victoria and David Beckham have 'written' three books between them even though apparently Victoria was quoted as saying 'I never read books'

Unfortunatley the reason she can publish a book is beacause she is always in the public eye for various embarrasing things. She is annoying and needs to concentrate on her children instead of getting engaged to a different man whilst drunk every other week.
