All of these big changes start with small changes, which is, in reality, people changing.

You may not like what happens if you make life hard for the corporations. The corporations will pack up and leave. They don't care. We're kinda lucky to have them. Oil dependency will fix itself. When we run out, then we will no longer be dependent. There is no energy shortage on this planet.
You'll never get people together. Even if it is an idea that 90 percent of us agree with at some time in our lives, you'll never get more than 50 percent of people that actually care enough about an issue to do anything about it at any one given time. The government has been structured so as to take all power away from the people, which is altogether necessary as the people are all crazy, especially when taken together.

Consumer protest. Take all your money out of the bank. Cut up your credit cards. Do not take a vacation or buy a house or a car. Big business will not let the economy collapse. They would compromise. Consumers have had all the power in this game all along. Economic protest. Ralph Nader was right all along.

Get rid of capitalism, actually. There's a start. The economic system has created more problems than it's worth. THAT's why there's hungry people. If it were a communist environment (NOT SOCIALIST), more people would be satisfied and not so hateful.
Second, PUT YOUR DIFFERENCES ASIDE, PEOPLE. So, you're not fond of gays, so what? Does that make someone a bad person? So, you're not fond of Mexicans, African-Americans, Japanese, Chinese, Russian... SO WHAT? There's only one RACE on this planet and it's the HUMAN RACE.
Sorry... ranting...
I'd like to add cancel your cell phone to that "economic protest" list. They don't help much, either.

You have to choose officials during elections who are not corrupt..with moral values..and with kind heart.
We can start the changes from our own homes. We need to reevaluate our inner self. These will have a ripple effect in our society.
