I understand that labor is cheap, but its a fact that Indian workers are underpaid when compared to their overseas counterpart. I speak out of experience.

And yea, the clients want the workers to say they are located elsewhere and take on pseudo-names.

Its great for the Indian economy's growth and it drives it's evolutionary curve..
Labor is relatively cheap in India. Technical knowledge coupled with inexpensive labor skill is the edge India is enjoying. India should continue to leverage its strength in these aspects to drive growth. Thumbs up to India!

Hey idiot look out, today there are plent of opening in the ITES sector, u see ads for call centres, for indian standards the pay is huge, enormous. See buiding industry boom, every2nd guy comming to buy an apartment is from ITES/Outsourced jobs sector. U know how much loan they are getting and how fast, 40 lacs 70 lacs, the beauty is these guys are under graduates, diploma holders, young. For our population had these outsourcing has not there, Where do they find employment. Do you know how much money that comes into india thru out sourced jobs and how much it fuels our economy and infrastructure. Hey these outsourced jobs certainely brought all round development in India. For ur information I am not from this sector and despite my knowledge, qualifications and experience, and efforts, my salary though appears big is miniscule in front of these outsourced fellows. Still u have to appreciate the matter from the perspective of national importance. O.K

I hate it, I mean people in India have a right to earn money too & such but I just hate the fact that it's one less job that people with minimal job skills can go out & get. I also find it very rude to be lied to by the telemarketers when they claim that they're in Sydney or whatnot & you ask them what the weather is like & they get it all wrong because they're lying to you. I just refuse to deal with them, pretty much as soon as I hear the delay I hang up.

I think these companies need to realize that if they keep outsourcing the work and laying off people these people will have no money to buy their product and they will end up bankrupt.
