As a fellow scorpio, I would say you are an enigma, very few people will ever truly know you because you keep important things to yourself. You are likely to be intelligent and quick-witted, good at seeing through people to see what they are really like, and have an accurate gut-instinct on people and situations. As scorpios tend to enjoy being somewhat enigmatic, that you may be another sign entirely!
However, if someone walked up to me & said "Hi, I'm a scorpio." then I'd think they were trying to use it as a chat up line based on the general assumption that Scorpios are very into sex.
If it were to come up in general conversation - then the amateur astrologer in me would think - Scorpio: More to them than meets the eye, tendency to hide behind an outward mask, enjoys giving tid-bits of info so that people get interested & ask for more, perceptive, not a good person to cross, intense.

Dark, deep, moody, jealous, always enquiring, thoughtful of others to the point of loosing out yourself, loyal til the end, mysterious, love to laugh, take important things seriously, humanitarian, great giving lover, high sex drive, pleasure seeker, like own space and own personal space is bigger than the norm, nurturing, need a life partner but also need time alone, hard worker, perfectionist but forgiving and kind, orgasnised, friendly, sees good in all people and situations.

I do not create a first impression based on star signs - I prefer to meet the person and talk to them. Star signs mean nothing it's your personality that counts.

Star signs are ficticious things. Your personality is determined by your life's experiences, not what stars were visible when you were born. You could have any personality on Earth. I think that it a stupid concept having only 12 personality types for 6.5 billion people. Preposterous!
