As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Anyway they became supermodels because they had the right looks needed at the right time, exquisite bone strucuture and I'm certain a lot of drive and ambition. And providence.

i think at first they obviously didn't expect them to become SUPER models. Then they probably made friends with the right photographers, and others who control media and such. More exposure meant people got decensitized to their averageness, and once people become familiar with celebs, they become superstars. Eg. Britney spears.
So overexposure, and then a few publicity stunts, eg, kate moss having dated johnny depp, and her notoriety as a party girl, even got her more attention. then the attention gets her even more familiarised. the cycle never ends. At the end of the day i guess it's luck. I do agree with u, kate moss especially i find is not so good looking. I see about 20 girls that look better than her out and about a day.

i like Kate Moss. I truly were prepared on hers because her CK commercials again in the 90s. She isn't your familiar stick insect. Her face is unique. She would not take the perfect care of herself both. that's properly ordinary that she has a cocaine concern and activities each and every of the time.

Different strokes for different folks i guess, i also don't think there's anything special about kate and claudia yet they've been around for years... I wouldn't call them ugly but then again they're definitely not the most beautiful women on earth

They look better on print than in real life - Claudia is very washed out looking in real life with tiny eyes - Kate hasn't the best complexion in the world, but she sells magazines

because they have their own unique beauty which model agencies love. even though to you kate moss is average looking to the model industry she is beautiful.

Because the people who HIRE and PAY these Model`s obviously do not think they are UGLY, I can not honestly see these people asking these model`s to show of their product`s if they were ugly. I know what your asking is your opinion, I am just giving you mine, no offence intended.

being a model is about having 'it'.
being tall, skinny and walking down the catwalk like you own it, wearing the clothes not letting the clothes wear you etc.
i see your point though. most models are mingers.
