These days some run a credit check to see if you are a risk for stealing funds from your employer.

If it's a temp agency, where they will be paying you, then yes. And as long as it's only the sort code and account number they've got, there's not much risk of fraud- it's your card details they'd need to rip you off.
To rip you off with just the sort code and account number is very difficult. You would also need ID to withdraw money in the bank which obviously they wouldn't have. They also could set up a standing order, but there's not much point since that also requires giving the details of their own account!

if you dont it will delay you being paid considerably. think how many new people sign up with the agency every day in each branch - then the details are processed at head office for payment.
they could not rob you or anything, you would know who did it, and why would a big company want to rob someone who wants to work agency jobs for a while, ive been on both ends of an agency, giving jobs and working jobs.

No they should not ask for you bank details without a job first, unfortunately it seems to be the thing with them these days, get in touch with your local Citizens Advice bureau who will be able to give you updated information on the laws of work agencies and policies, reputable ones and dodgy ones, it always pays to be well informed before you register with agencies, good luck.

No, in the adventure that they are asking on your economic employer account information it really is a scam.. authentic pastime portals and company web content will allow you to recognize no longer to reveal techniques which contain this. the only exception will be in case you'd be temping; for this the corporate will be coping together with your income and could of direction choose your economic employer information. in my view i imagine London is a foul position to be searching for artwork as we communicate, too a lot of human beings out of work - i'm attempting to flow out and attempt my success elsewhere.. good success

why would you give your job your bank details in the first place??? The only time you need to do that is if you will receive direct deposit of your paycheck....and I wouldn't do that until I fill out some tax forms first!

No never. You should never ever give these details to the recruitment agencies. They might fraud you and mishandle the information.
