In cup games, extra time of 30 minutes is played if the teams are tied. This is played in two 15 minute sessions.
Added on time at the end of each normal 45 minute half is at the discretion of the officials, and is indicated by the fourth official holding up an electronic board signalling how much time will be added on (this is normally known as injury-time). As a rule, the referee will normally stop his/her watch if there is an injury which requires on-pitch treatment, and 30 second is usually added on for each substitution. Time may alos be added on if the ball is kicked out of the ground (at smaller stadiums this does happen quite a lot).
Mostly this usually means only one or two extra minutes added on, but I have been at games where 6 or 7 minutes extra has been played.

Extra time=Extra time is given (30 min,15 min each half) if the score of both the teams is equal i.e the score is a tie.(eg.France vs italia wc final score was 1-1).If any team fails to concede more goals than the other team..a penalt shootout takes place.
Stoppage/injury time=extra tym given after a 45 min half or after 90 min .It is usually depends upon the time for which the game was halted due to injuries or disputes...

extra time if the scores are level in a cup competition at the end of 90 mins is usually 30 mins, 15 mins each way unless the silver goal or golden goal rule is in effect, if you mean added time at the end of each half, then that is decided appond how many injurys, substitutions or goals there were and add time on as deemed by the referee.

an additional 30 minutes (15 minutes of each half) will be played in the extra time in football. this is usually apply when teams are playing in a one-off match. if there is no winner during that period, penalty kicks will be used to decide the winner.

To add to the above answers, silver goal rule is when the competition ends at the end of the period of extra time if a side is leading, regardless of whether it is the first or second half of extra time.

It depends on the time being wasted during the 90 minutes, the time wasted will be added after the 90th minute

They is no set time limit.
