I am a hermit. I was not always one. Life as a hermit is much much richer. But, lonely at times. Not as lonely as being alone in an urban circle of friends. Lonely in a more lucid way.

It really depends upon the personality of the individual. If the hermit enjoys his life then he is fulfilled and his lifestyle suits his personality. If the city guy longs to live the life of the hermit, then his life is not fulfilling.

This is impossible to answer because each is living their lives how they CHOOSE to live. I'm sure each has equally fulfilling lives according to themselves.

You also have to take into consideration how the hermit lives. Instead of having people and money problems, he has to be completely self-sufficient so he has other worries like where his next meal will come from or where he's gonna dig his next outhouse.

Probably the hermit. He is there because he wants to be. The big city buff is there because it is expected of him. That's a hard life to live up to. Alot of pressure.
