Probably, especially with the intoduction of the PlayStation 3 just around the corner.

However this is not always the case. Sometimes because of demand, the prices are driven up. This happened last christmas with the release of the Xbox360, people were queuing outside of shops from the night before and paying extortionate amounts of money for a console.

So it also depends on which console you're wanting to get.

But if you want to make a real saving and it's not a Christmas gift, wait until January, they'll be much cheaper in the sales!

No, Console prices are high yes but they will stay there for about a year. Look at the xbox or PS2, they stayed with their set price for about that long and everybody said they where to high.
