i don't think he did because if you watch after the end credits you see that one mutant wake up and look at the doctor and say her name in professor x's voice if you know what i mean..... so is pofressor x dead ??????????? i think not........ what do you think????????????

that's precisely what he did.

I think the body of Professor X died. His abilities somehow allowed him to "live" without his body. Jean somehow morphed into something else at the end of X2 - why couldn't Professor X?

I dont think he did, that fact that we see him explode doesnt mean he really explode, i might be a reflica of him, he used his mind power to get there even his real body is on the other place.
