Bill, the guy that made it possible for us regular house hold people to play with computers. Bill Gates foresaw the possibillities that the regular person could find value in using a machine way above and beyond the typewriter, so he developed it at age 17. He confronted IBM with his idea, and they laughed at him, and signed the papers as they chuckled. This was a way back in the late '70's maybe even before that, but basically that's what happened. Xerox invented the original Mouse as an input device and then Apple computer convinced them to give them the technology since Xerox didn't know what to do with it. The rest is history.
