she took it first thing this morning and will take another one tonight as normal is this ok

Depends on the type of pill she is on. Low dosage pills have to be taken regualrly higher ones you can get away with the delay you have described.
Consult your GP or whoever prescribed it and they will give you the correct anawer in your case.
In the meantime use another form as well until you know for certain.

She should refer to her pill pamplet. This sounds okay though. Use condoms if you are super paranoid.

as long as she hasn't missed her pill by more than 12 hours you will be fine.
