the last album was good but not as good as you are the quarry.
i have been a life long fan of mozzas but i think he is going to call it a day after the next album. he is so desprate to get his first english no 1 but do you think it will ever come. and also he has not had the recognition he deserves from the uk music press and the brits should give the man an award for outstanding contribution to uk music and one of the best uk song writers of all time.

What will the Mozfather do next? Have I cup of tea, I suppose, he is partial to them or so I hear. He'll probably not be having a bacchanalian orgy up a Hugh Hefner's place.

Seriously, I have to agree, his last album wasn't as good as ...Quarry, but then die-hard fans are going to say that nothing he's done since he parted ways with Marr has been as good. I still hold the firm belief that "The Queen Is Dead" is the best British album of all time.

I think the British music press don't give him the respect he deserves, not because of his music (which is what they should be judging him on) rather because of him personally; his reluctance to give interviews and his acid tongue when he does. He does deserve an outstanding contribution to music award of some sort, however like many of the best musicians he may never get the recognition he deserves until it's too late.

I think that although Ringleader lacks something Quarry has it is still a good album. It is certainly the more complex and varied of the two, but the tighter focus of Quarry makes for more compelling listening.
Morrissey makes a huge difference to his fans - I have been enjoying "Old Moaney" (as some people call him) for years and his style and wit are very important.
I wonder if an outstanding contribution award would be appropriate as Morrissey's style is so unique that really very few bands are directly influenced by him - Morrissey can inspire but his tour de force style is hard to extrapolate into other music.
I think a lifetime achievement award is more appropriate for Morrissey as he has achieved so much and made a lot of people happier (or at least see the lighter side of misery!) than they would have been without him.

He will surprise everyone (the whole universe) and introduce us all with American Goth Country. It will be a wicked and evil sound that will haunt you until your soul cries for no more. Because of its pain and complexion all songs can only be played one time before the listener implodes, not explodes.

I care I think meat is murder is one of the best albums ever, you always hear people making references to the smiths or morrisey (usually when someone is miserable) even on eastenders they were talking about morrisey!!

I just hope he carries on doing what he wants, hes got enough wicked tunes to keep me entertained.
and i hope he keeps slagging of richard and judy!!!!
