Hi there. I wear glasses and have a pair of prescripted goggle + I swim fives days a week. It's not too expensive. If I remember correctly, I paid around $3x but definately no more than $50.
Prescripted goggle comes in 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 and so on. Get the nearest degrees. Check Water Gears - they make prescripted goggles.

Acutally, all people see worse underwater (water isn't as good a conductor of light as air). But human bodies show up because the sides of pools and beaches are not usually colored in skin tones. Aim away form the big pink or brown blobs and you're good.

Wear your contact lens with swimming goggles and BE CAREFUL. I've done it for many, many years and I have never lost a single lens. Or, you can buy prescription goggles; speak with your ophthalmologist and find out.

my mother used to swim with her glasses on. Just stay above water. and use a band to hold them on so they will not fall off.
