First off you should of taken your battery out immediately. Then you just let it dry out for a few days before putting a battery back in. Next you hope that it did not instantly fry all you circuit boards and chip sets. If so start looking for a new laptop. Remember that liquid can only cause damage to circuits if electricity is applied (for the most part), Good Luck

Why clean it before you throw it away? If it had been a small spillage you might just have needed a new keyboard, but a whole bottle??? As long as you ticked the box for accidental damage cover on your contents insurance, and the box to cover possessions away from home, you're fine.

That is insanely bad. At the very least, your keyboard is done for and at the worst, you shorted your motherboard. The hard drive can probably be salvaged. Your info should be okay, but it may cost you some money for data recovery service. Regardless of that, its a pretty safe bet your laptop is now a paperweight.

CLEAN IT? Sorry man but you hardware is DEAD if your lucky you can pay some money to a data recovery firm to attempt hardrive file retreival but it'll be cheaper to start over with a new one and put the oldone in your trash can or take it to a computer recycler.

Best to take it somewhere, I'm afraid. I seriously doubt just cleaning it is gonna help at all. Something shorted out since it won't come on. It might not even be worth repairing, depending on what is damaged.
