Over the past 2 weeks or so I have been experiencing some vaginal discomfort for no apparent reason. My period is 2 weeks late and I have noticed some "scratch-like" cuts around my vaginal area it isnt a severe pain and I have no swelling just discomfort...does anyone have any idea what this could be? Or what I could do to treat it??

It could be a yeast infection, sometimes it causes dryness and scaly skin.
You can try a yeast infection cream, although you should check with a dr first.
You can treat it naturally by cutting out all sugar and yeast, and take some probiotics like Bio-K. YOu will need to do that for at least a week... and it will be hard because you will crave it, but you need to beat the yeast monster. Build up your immune system also.

google yeast busters for more info.

yes, I had that too, I wet to the doctor and she gave me a cream and after I shower I have to put it on in my vigina, and it dosen't feel uncomfortable anymore, when my cream was gone it wasn't ok, it was still little feeling weird then I stop using the cream cause, I thought that maybe I used the cream too much so I stop and like about 3 or 4 days, it was gone, so you should go to your doctor and tell him or her about it...
