I am very committed to my job, now. I love most of the things about it.I feel an obligation to the company, when I have to leave the office for anything, I still check in at the office to make sure everything is going good. I think that pressure is always good to keep us on our toes in the event that way we may miss something or we can always improve from someone's criticism. Yes it guides us to excellence and productivity. There are many times I could have left my current job to make more money, but it wouldn't satisfy me to work elsewhere, because at the end of the day, even my hard bad days, I feel satisfaction in knowing that i am doing good for people. I look at the people who have come into my life and look at the positive I have helped them to achieve and then i think about if I hadn't have been there, would they still have accomplished their goals? Usually, the answer is yes, they would have but not in the time that they did. A lot of times when I am really tired and exhausted and totally ready to quit my job because they drove me totally crazy that day, and I think about how unappreciated I am, soemone who I have helped out will call or come into the office and tell me how happy they are that I was there for them. It's easier to go to work and leave the job at other companies, but at my job now I feel like we are a family. That's the motivation I have each day, is not to let down my brothers and sisters at work, to do my best so we all succeed.

I don't love my job. I don't know anyone who does. If it was that great I don't think people would pay you to do it. I have a good job and I know it could be a lot worse so I am grateful I have what I have.

For me the best motivation is less work. I am constantly looking for ways to take care of my finances while doing the least amount of work. I want to spend more time at home with my family and doing what I enjoy. So if you tell me I get paid the same no matter how long it takes and I can go home when all is done I will be very productive. Like most jobs, mine doesn't work that way.

When I started my company, I was full of new ideas and dreams, with intention to help people and earn from it, honestly.

But as time went by, I found it more and mor difficult to materialize my ideas into reality. People didn't respond to projects that were close to my heart. So, instead I had to shift my focus and provide them with what they want. I surely do earn good amount money, although I don't need to.

It has been a learning experience for me to put market's requirement, before my heart's requirement. Although I know that the kind of services that people want from me are not really helpful to them in the long run, I have to be content by giving them what they want.

From time to time, when I am really able to help people, I feel great. I feel that I HAVE BEEN HELPED in some way. I love those instances when I can really do something positive. I am not very sincere in my daily personal and health routine, but I am very sincere in my work atmosphere. My work keeps me going.

Healthy pressure /stess level (And it is difficult to draw demarcation line here between healthy and unhealthy) is necessary to achieve our goals. But the real motivation comes from within. And most are not lucky enough to have it. OR may be most of us have screwed up our subconscious so very badly that we are not genuinely inspired to do something constructive. I consider myself lucky here that I followed my heart at young age and picked up the field that was truly my calling.

By the way, I liked your question a lot. It allowed me to introspect my life from a different perspective.

Pressure doesn't get excellence out of me, just mistakes! Love and joy are my best motivators (I'm a woman like you). Pride works, too, but after a certain number of awards, they don't mean much. Love and joy you can always use more of.

The need to make money and fulfill society's expectations are pressures! But those fears can be turned into love and joy when you think of how rich and generous your "real father" is (the creator God).

Yes, you should work from the heart. Especially is you are a yaya because the children can feel if you hate your job or love it.

You know they found the dead sea scrolls. One document in there was supposed to have been written by the St. Thomas aka Doubting Thomas. Anyway, in one of his sayings he writes "Don't tell lies and don't do what you hate". It makes sense to me

whatever commitment or decision i made i would as much as possible be perfect, or if not ,be on top of my career. whatever or any kind of work i handle i put my heart on it ,meaning the sincerity comes within myself, not because i want to impress someone, but the fullfillment ive done not only to myself but also to my love ones. yes, sometimes pressure is necessary but it depends on the situations. motivation-is important to us, if we are aiming to reach our dreams and satisfy ourselves, enriching our personality and personal life, then we need to motivate to reach our goals. we can only rate ourself for excellency if we are already done the highest point of our life.. the Success, the fruits of hardworks..and thats productivity.

Dont do something you morally object to, but if you have a family, work to keep food on the table for them. Remember, once you've decided to have children, you work for them, not for yourself. I dislike my job, but I like that my kids are taken care of, and that I am not forced to make morally objectionable decisions. If my children see me working selflessly, I hope they can follow my example. This includes work in the office and at church or with charities. I try to keep it all in the proper perspective.
