Ai leen 2 has it 100%, at this moment I am in Guangzhou China and every day I have Yum Cha tea and go to the Yum Cha restaurant. I suppose we Westerners would relate a Yum Cha restaurant to our finger food, except of course you use chopsticks.

It is Cantonese, means going to the tea house (Chinese Restauarnt) to have tea and dim sum (refreshments).
Yum = Drink
Cha = Tea
It is an integral part of the culinary culture of Guangdong Province and Hong Kong. In any city with a sizeable population of Cantonese people, Yum cha is a tradition on weekend mornings, and whole families gather to chat and eat Dim sum and drink pots of Chinese tea. Yum cha is also a morning ritual for the elderly to spend a good part of the morning after early morning exercise of tai chi or walk. In the past, people used to go to a teahouse for yum cha, whereas dim sum restaurants have been gaining an overwhelming popularity of late.
