The best way to produce lots of milk is to feed your baby often!
It is a supply and demand relationship.
Also, drink plenty of water and get enough to eat. Some women find oatmeal helps them to produce more milk. It is also good to take a multivitamin, so your vitamins do not get depleted.

Eat well and let the baby nurse even when your breasts are empty. Also, a breast pump will help increase production if you pump after the baby has nursed. Do not be discouraged in the first few days and weeks. Your nipples are going to HURT in the beginning, but this is the healthiest thing you can do for your child nutritionally and emotionally. Good luck and God bless.

Many moms who think they have a supply problem actually don't have one.
Frequent nursing is the number one way to keep up your supply. There are also other things you can do like make sure you are getting enough fluids, take your PNV's and eat sensibly. There are herbs you can take if you do have supply problems and frequent nursing/pumping doesn't seem to be fixing the problem. I would also suggest having your latch checked if baby isn't gaining well.

Feed on demand and pump in between feedings to help build a supply. Also you need to drink plenty of fluid, water is best. At least what you drank while pregnant if not more. It helped me to drink 2 glasses of water while i nursed.
