What could be the cause of constant nightmares, different nightmares every night, waking up with fever and shaking! I have not taken any different medication, my life is very busy but no more than normal but obviously I'm more tired as I wake up several times in the night! Any ideas what could be causing it?

I have not changed anything in my normal diet and dont eat too late plus have a square of chocolate just before bed. My head is not spinning when I go to bed as I'm too tired to think! I've had the nightmares for about two weeks now and getting more shattered as the time goes on. I can remember the contents of my nightmares very clearly, they do include family members, but also my worst fears. I do have concerns and stress in my life regarding work and home but I'm used to that

Nightmares can be caused by food, but if your diet hasn't changed and the nightmares hasn't always been there then I doubt it is food.
Analyze your diet, and your present and past circumstances and even your hopes and fears for the future.
If something is troubling you then it will cause nightmares. If something from the past hasn't been accepted or is causing a deep down feeling or restlessness then again you will be dogged by nightmares and if there is something that is unsettling you about the future, nightmares are often the sign of these concealed fears.

Is there something being 'dragged' along with you?
Is there a fear that you dread taking with you in life or scared of not achieving?
Is there something you are doing, fighting and living in hope?

Things to think about, because all will cause you troubled nights.
Ailment can also cause nightmares particularly if you have a fever, and womens menstrual cycle can cause the temperature rise, so are these nightmares surrounding your cycle?

Again, try to pinpoint what the cause could be, and then and only then you can deal with it but there are so many things that could cause nightmares, but often they are trying to show you a path toward the light, you have to discover the cause to then be able to move toward the light and pleasant dreams.

I hope this helps, a little or maybe a lot of soul searching may be required but you'll feel when you have got it correct

I'll pray for the answers to become apparent because then you'll learn something about yourself too-lots of love sent your way
God Bless xxxx

Not all troubles are on the surface, and require some deep searching into buried issues, the deeper you look the more you'll find but the more you'll learn too.

Diet does not have any correlation with nightmares. The book "How to Stop having Nightmares (Kindle) by Man from Modesto explains the origin of nightmares, and also how to spot them and identify the different kinds (by source). The last part explains how to stop having nightmares.

The source of nightmares is almost always demons and/or unclean spirits. They wait to attack until "the next opportunity." A time of stress is an opportunity for them. You should read the book. The same demons might be the ones blitzing your work and other areas of your life.

If you go to bed with a million things spinning around in your head, your mind cannot relax and will try and process the information as it see's fit. This can cause the nightmares you are having. Try and make sure you relax for an hour before you go to bed, have a hot drink (no caffeine) or a drop of the strong stuff. Hope this helps :-)

Well, I suggest you should try to relax a little. The nightmares may be due to stress. Also not to watch or read scary things before going to bed. A nightmare diary could make you look deeper and see where a problem may be. Drinking warm milk or chocolate could also help calm you before going to bed. Pray at night.

Well,
I too have night terrors and thats what they are called. You know your having one while dreaming yet you cannot wake from them you try and scream for help but nothing come out it is horrifying. I had a bad experience with some home intruders when i was 20. These night terrors have plague me since the doctor says it is from post stress syndrome. It doesn't go away because its in your subconious but hpynotheraphy helps to calm your stress levels. If something trumatic has happened to you go see a theripist and see what they can do for you.
Good Luck

Well I would suggest a visit to your doc is in order first. Nightmares by themselves could be stress or anxiety related however, the fever would not. This is why I suggest a visit to your doctor is the first order of buiness. Fever usually indicates a physcial problem....listen to your body; it is trying to tell you something....If it turns out to be anxiety or stress there are several remdies that will help you relax.
...some of these include tea made from Valerian root or camile ....
medation to relax and balance your body...yoga is also good

Nightmares accompanied by fevers and shakes indicate insufficient sexual activity. An improvement in that area will result in happiness, euphoria, and a solid sense of well-being.

You could be more stressed than you think or maybe you're eating late at night which sounds a bit silly but true.
