Save E-Bay for later, after you know their value and don't waste your money on a professional appraisal. I used to work in a huge antique store and they had an entire section filled with collectors books. These books are stock-full of information on collectibles, including their current value in today's market. They list dolls produced in the 1950's all the way to the 1990's and 2000's. There are tons of books out there specifically for Barbie collectors. You can get these at any bookstore, including online bookstores. You can look up the dolls you have and go from there!

Well, eBay is one way, but not the only way. There are magazines -- Doll is one, Doll Reader another -- that have regular columns dedicated to pricing things. Also, you can get a lot out of the advertisements in these magazines. There are many, many doll collectors' web sites, and then you could just sell them to me for $9.99 each . . . LOL

Go to an appraiser, and see the estimated value. I think there are also books that can help you with this information

easiest way is to search for them on ebay and watch a couple auctions, and see how much the final bids are and how many people are buying
