Soak it in COLD water for a long time, like for several hours. Rinse in clean water repeatedly. DO NOT use hot water-- it will set the blood and you'll never get it out. Even then, you'll never really get all the blood out. Blood is one of those things that gets into the very fibers of the material and it's virtually impossible to get it all out. Good thing your shirt is black. The stain will not be so noticeable...

Whether it is your blood stains, or other people's blood stains, the process of removing them is the same.
Make up your own mind, whether your blood-stained black shirt is a cotton, or silk one - because the steps involved will differ in each case...
And, please explain clearly, as to HOW somebody else's blood stained your shirt :
Or, otherwise it will not be wise on my [or anyone's !] part, to give you the specific info, as it may involve aiding to destroy evidence of a crime - which is also equally a crime, in the eyes of the Law.

immediately soak the fabric in lukewarm water and detergent for 30 minutes and repeat the process if the stain is not removed.
But it sounds like the stain is there for a very long time, so i advise you to use biological washing powders. They are different from other washing powders as they contains enzymes produced by bacteria. The enzymes attack dirt that comes from living things(eg.blood). The dirt (in your case, blood stain) is removed from the cloth and are washed away in the washing machine.
If it still does not work, i advise you to send it to the laundry.

Cold water - lots of it. Soak, rub with a bit of soap.
Once you try warm/hot water, it sets the stain and you can't get it out.
