Are you british or not - this is the third stupid question from you I have answered in 10 minutes. Reason I ask if you are British is because "freakin" is NOT a bloody word. And people say after the beep coz they do - if you don't like it - tough.

Answering machines don't record until after the beep, it is just a marker.
