I am 12weeks and 3days pregnant now. It feels like I swallowed a grapefruit... I feel a hard round feeling inside me, inches below my belly button, just above my pelvic bone really... is this my uterus? Is it supposed to feel kinda of hard? I know I should be able to feel my uterus soon, according to all this I have been reading, and I only weigh 120 pounds, so I hear lighter women feel it easier... Thanks for the input!

I have a regular check up next week as well, so I have a few things to ask my doctor. I have no pain or bleeding, all is well really. Just slight nausea. Almost trimester #2! Woo hoo!

your baby wont be that big yet but your uterus will be.although at this stage baby is fully formed(but obviosly immature) your baby is at the stage now where it is starting to grow and grow ,as well as the sac, placenta etc. as you are of slim build. you will be more aware of changes. what you describe is perfectly normal.i could feel fluttering movements at around 14 weeks.from now on you will probably notice and feel different things each week, and that grapefruit will soon feel like a watermelon!!enjoy your pregnancy!

CONGRATULATIONS! Wow! I remember how I felt during my first pregnancy. (and the other 5 too.lol) Yes, what you are feeling is your uterus. Soon, you will start showing too! How exciting! It sounds like you and your baby are healthy and that's terrific! Keep your appts. with your doctor. That is very important. And stay away from sugars and starches which can be very harmful to your newborn if taken in large amounts. This doesn't only mean sweets. It also includes breads, potatoes, pasta, etc., which all turn into sugars. So, good luck! Be happy & healthy! :)

yep - sounds exactly what happened to me. I weighed about 118 pounds before i was pregnant and am 19 weeks now and i think i look huge now. i could feel the baby kicking from about 16 weeks but they say that is normal for those that are on the thinner side.

If you are petite you will show signs of pregnancy sooner than larger women. It sounds to me like you feel the baby.
