I've heard of many married men that like having a **** buddy and say they are bicurious.Why not just stay single?

cuz they arent being true to themselves and are bending to what ppl say they should do and how they should live.

I had a friend at college who did exactly this ... and his explaination was that he wanted to fit in with what society expected of him, so he married and had two children, but eventually his own needs became too strong, and he had to fulfil his own wants and needs in order to be happy and carry on in life.
Eventually he left his wife, came out of the closet and was happier than he ever had been before, his ex-wife and him now have a fantastic friendship, and the kids don't seem to have suffered from it.

I think they are in denial and want their cake and eat it. They also fear society being judgmental on them and are not prepared to discuss the matter. They also fear what the peripheral damage will be, if they come out. I think it is selfish and cowardish. If they stay single they miss out on a family atmosphere and acceptance in society. We are still very pregitist about sexual persuasions.

because you said it closet cases and maybe for professional reasons they want the whole wife and kids family man picture if you where a boss that had to fire the gay single man or the one with 3 kids and a wife who do you think the boss would feel worse letting go.society sucks i think its afraid to admit they are living in a lie.

because at the time they feel they are in the right relationship. then it dawns on them that they dont wanna be with this person all their lives and they aint done experimenting. so they start having affairs etc. as for gays am sure they thought they were straight but deep down they knew they was gay but it only came to the forefront when the happiness was lost from their marriage.

Because they want to be seen as hetrosexual and fit in with society. By marrying they are portraying 'the norm' and thus hiding their homosexuality.

I guess there are all sorts of reasons, guilt, expectations, denial, love even. It is a sad situation and for as long as there is bigotry it will continue.

because they are still in the closet. hiding from the rejection of family most of all. hiding what they still feel is imoral.

parhaps they hope to change, or just to have kids, or to pleaze the parents or they cant find a man or
